At the conclusion of the IDEA Conference, Qatar Cool hosted a gala evening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony at the world’s largest district cooling
facility (130,000 tons) serving The Pearl Qatar in Doha. The event featured a spectacular high-tech educational video projected on the exterior of the plant.

Grand Hyatt Doha in Doha, Qatar amid
the backdrop of a dramatically growing
urban metropolis and the magnificent
new development of The Pearl Qatar.
The global conference, entitled “District
Cooling: Greener Buildings, Smarter Grid,”
brought together participants who are
focused on optimizing the construction
and operation of large district cooling
systems in order to enhance customer
service, reduce their impact on the envi-
ronment and deliver value by reducing
peak demands on the electrical grid.
