IDEA Fourth International District Cooling Conference & Trade Show
InterContinental Dubai Festival City
Dubai, United Arab Emirates
October 11-13, 2009
Dubai
Since 1909, the International
District Energy Association
has served the district energy
industry by organizing highly
specialized conferences to
inform and connect attendees
and advance the industry
around the world.
“Optimizing Assets: Efficiency,
Reliability & Maximizing Returns”
Across the Middle East region, district cooling systems have become the preferred
infrastructure solution because of their high energy efficiency, scalable water conservation
technologies and the advantages of space and capital savings for end users.
When properly designed, optimized and operated, district energy systems allow customer
buildings to engage in best practices and to perform optimally, both mechanically and
architecturally, enabling the mitigation of their carbon footprint through advanced
controls and load management.
Now, with more than
100 years of continuous
operation, IDEA is pleased
to announce the Fourth
International District Cooling
Conference & Trade Show.
Hosted by IDEA's Middle East Chapter, the fourth IDEA International District Cooling
Conference & Trade Show will focus on optimizing District Cooling system assets
for efficient and reliable performance, setting the stage for maximizing returns for
shareholders and customers. Optimized assets help conserve power and water usage;
respond better to challenges of climate change; support green building objectives and
enhance sustainability overall.
Hosted by IDEA
Middle East Chapter
In the past five years, Dubai has undergone tremendous real estate development,
mainly supported by large district cooling networks. The recent economic downturn has
impacted the pace of development, creating opportunities for consolidation, optimization,
and revised planning horizons. The district energy industry will converge in this modern
metropolis to review strategies, explore new technologies and share techniques for
creating value for end users, owners and community stakeholders.
