In 2008, IDEA will once again recognize industry excellence in our System of the Year Award, the Norm Taylor Award and industry growth through the District Energy Space Awards.

See District Energy Systems in Operation Conference host OUCooling owns and operates a successful district cooling system in Orlando. On Wednesday morning, July 2, technical tours will showcase the company’s operations at the Orange County Convention Center and their downtown Orlando plant.

Recharge with Colleagues and Friends IDEA’s Annual Conference typically attracts between 400-500 attendees from around the world. For the past 98 years, hundreds of dedicated energy professionals have gathered to re-connect with colleagues and build new relationships. From the opening annual golf tournament at Celebration Golf Club on June 29 to the closing technical tour of OUCooling on July 2, there will be multiple luncheons and hosted receptions in between. Industry achievements and excellence are recognized at the luncheons and the annual chairman’s banquet. A spouse and guest program offers several opportunities to see the local sights and meet people from around the world.
