Erick Rocher, PE, has been the
director of chilled-water services
for the Orlando Utilities Commission
since 2006. He joined OUC in 2002
as chilled-water operations and
maintenance coordinator. He has
17 years’ HVAC industry experience in sales,
operations, maintenance, training and business
development. Rocher holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from
the University of Puerto Rico and a master’s
degree in business management from the
University of Phoenix. He holds licenses as a
professional engineer in Puerto Rico and

Tom Love, PE, president of T.M.
Love + Associates P.A., serves as a
consultant to OUCooling. He has
extensive experience as a project
principal/manager in all aspects of
mechanical engineering and has
directed numerous projects from conceptual
design through construction administration.
During his career he has received several honors, including an Energy Conservation Design
First Place Award from ASHRAE Kansas City
for the design of U.S. Sprint headquarters;
Engineer of the Year award and Project of the
Year award for the Orange County Convention
Center Phase IV project from ASHRAE Central
Florida; and Project of the Year award from the
Florida Engineering Society. He holds a bachelor
of science degree in mechanical engineering
from the University of South Florida and is a
licensed professional engineer in multiple
