Numerous Sites Open Doors
to Technical Tours
On Wednesday morning, more than
100 IDEA registrants participated in
tours of Twin Cities district energy systems including District Energy St. Paul,
with its wood-fired CHP operation and
new satellite chilled-water plant, plus
facilities owned and operated by NRG
Energy Center Minneapolis and the
University of Minnesota. IDEA thanks
hosts Anders Rydaker of District Energy
St. Paul, Michael Carroll of NRG Thermal
and Mike Nagel of the University of
Minnesota and their respective employees for their gracious hospitality.
We also thank Tim Johnston of NRG
Energy Center Minneapolis for his assistance in planning and conducting the
tours of the Franklin Heating Station,
Olmsted County waste-to-energy facility
and the world-famous Mayo Clinic.
Thank You, Exhibitors and
Sponsors
Vendor and supplier members –
IDEA’s business partners – were front
and center at the trade show in St. Paul.
Filling all 57 available exhibit spaces,
IDEA vendor and supplier members
turned out in record numbers. This event
serves as a marketplace for learning
about new technologies and strengthening business partnerships and alliances.
Our sponsors’ contributions along with
business partner participation made this
event possible!
